Call for Volunteers for Pool Committee

With spring just around the corner, we need volunteers to get our pool committee running again. If you helped out last year, thank you! and please let us know if you're willing to help again this year. And of course new volunteers are welcome as well.

As a member of the pool committee, you'll help the committee:

  • issue pool passes
  • attend meetings of the committee
  • learn how the pool operates
  • approve minor repairs
  • make recommendations on major repairs, rule changes, etc.

You're of course not expected to do any of that alone.

The minimum time requirement during the pool season is around two hours to review documents for and attend committee meetings. During the off-season, it'll be less. There is no obligation, you can quit at any time—so please feel free to volunteer even if you're not sure it'll work out.

We'd also like a committee member or two willing to be a final level of escalation that the life guards can call in case of issues—after the lifeguard's manager and our management company has proven unable to resolve the issue.

Finally, we're looking for a chairperson. The chairperson will be the primary point of contact for the committee (with both the board and the management company), may be requested to provide advice in emergencies, will preside over the committee meetings, and is requested to attend board meetings at least during the pool season. If you're interested, please let the board know.

We'd like to get this done at our March 26 meeting. If you're interested, please email the board by Wednesday, March 25 or attend the meeting on the 26th,

PS: The Tot Lot, Grounds, and Parking committees could also use volunteers. Email the board for details.
