August 29th Grounds Committee Meeting

The Grounds Committee is holding a meeting this Wednesday, August 29th, 6:30–7:30pm at the pool.

An agenda is not yet available, but will include at least discussion of fall projects considering the budget information that was just received by the committee.

Residents are welcome to attend and there will be an open forum where you're welcome to speak on any grounds-committee related topics at the start of the meeting.

August 2018 Pool Pass Sessions

The Pool Committee has scheduled several pool pass issuing sessions in August. If you've recently moved to Westerley, have a new family member, or just have never had one issued before, you'll need to come to one of the sessions to get a pass to use the pool. If you have a pass from the last several years (laminated with your picture on the front and a barcode on the back), it remains valid and you do not need a new one. If you're already in the system but lost or misplaced your pass, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we can print a new one—you do not need to come to one of the sessions.

Please bring with you a government-issued photo ID (example: Virginia driver's license) to prove identity and, if that ID does not have your Westerley address on it, something to prove you live in Westerley (utility bill, lease, Closing Disclosure form, etc.)

  • Sat., August 4, 9:30–10:00AM
  • Sat., August 11, 9:30–10:00AM
  • Sat., August 18, 9:30–10:00AM
  • Sat., August 25, 9:30–10:00AM (last planned session this pool season)

There is no charge for pool passes. We issue one pass per person (not per house), and we need to take pictures for the passes, so please bring everyone with you.

Parking Committee Meeting July 12th

Hello Westerley residents,

The Parking Committee will be meeting this Thursday, July 12, at 6:00pm in the Tot Lot. We will continue to discuss our current parking policy, potential changes, and any other parking concerns.

If you are planning to join us, it would be quite helpful to be familiar with our current policy. Please read it here: Westerley Parking Policy (PDF).

If you would like to help us on the Parking Committee, please attend the meeting to provide us with your contact information.

Thanks,
Jeff Marsh
Parking Committee Chair

Volunteers Wanted for Tot Lot Mulching July 7

Greetings Westerley!

Please mark your calendars for the morning of Saturday, July 7. This is the day we will be re-mulching the Tot Lot. We are saving over $1,500 by spreading the mulch ourselves, so we would really appreciate lots of volunteers to help. If we have many volunteers, it should only take a few hours.

We also need wheelbarrows and metal rakes. If you could let us borrow any of these items for that morning, it would be greatly appreciated.

We do not have a specific delivery time yet, but I hope to have this when we get closer to July 7.

Parking Notice

We have to block 3-4 parking spaces directly outside the Tot Lot on Friday night, July 6, to make room for the mulch delivery. We will set up cones and parking signs that week to remind you.

Thanks, and I hope you can join us on the morning of Saturday, July 7!

July 2018 Board meeting rescheduled

The July, 2018 Board of Directors meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, July 17th, 7pm at the Cascades Library.

Pool Reopens Today

The phone line has been fixed and our pool will re-open today (Wednesday, June 13th) at the normal time (4 PM).

We apologize for the inconvenience and are looking into if getting a backup hard-wire phone line is possible and economical.

PS: Tomorrow, the summer break schedule starts, and we'll be open at noon on weekdays.
